If you don’t already know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. As a lover of pink (my second favorite color after purple), I knew that I would be purchasing something that benefits the research for a cure of breast cancer. I, and I’m sure many of you also, know someone who has been affected by cancer or lost someone close from it. Last year I realized during this month, a lot of companies put out a special collection in which the proceeds benefit a foundation who is working towards a cure.

During Summer, I saw Tory Burch’s new collection and I was instantly drawn to the york Buckle Tote. I knew it was something I wanted to get but it wasn’t an urgent matter so I just left it. I received an email on Monday inviting me to Shop for a Cure for Breast Cancer and included in the limited edition items was a pink york Buckle tote. I knew this was the one for me to get and it was also my way of giving back. Tory Burch is donating 20% of qualified purchases to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation up to $35,000.

I thought this bag would be a brighter pink but it’s the right color that I don’t mind walking around with and feeling like I’m saying “HEY! Look at me!”. I got the Small tote because I’m trying my best to carry around less items in my handbag. I will be using this bag for the rest of the month in support of Breast Cancer.
