I don’t have many products for October as I kind of stuck to my regulars. Also some were probably mentioned in a Friday Roundup or a Haul.

Since I did cut my hair about half-way through October I bought the Silk Elements Hot & Silky Mini Root Straightening Comb and it did a pretty good job when I washed my hair last weekend. I was very pleased with it. I didn’t feel the heat from it and it did the job. If you have a pixie cut I’d definitely recommend it.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Catwalk Palette – I bought this palette thinking it’s another neutral palette I’m collecting but I just love the color Day Rate (first; bottom left). It is that perfect pinky-nude colour for darker skin tones that enhances your eyes. Beauty Mark (top row; second from the right) is also great for creases – not too dark and not too ashy. Yes ashy. I’ve seen how some browns can look like a greyish brown on black people. I also loved the name of the palette- Catwalk. Every time I use it I feel a little sassier thinking I’m taking my hott self somewhere today even if it’s just to run errands. I feel I should be strutting everywhere. Amazing what’s in a name yeah?

Marc Jacobs Beauty Lust for Lacquer Lip Vinyl Sheer in Kissability – I bought this lipgloss back in August and it was just sitting in my lipgloss stash, in the box. As Fall rolled around, I was looking for darker colors to pull out and something told me to open the box and try it. I AM IN LOVE! I take this with me everywhere. If you have not tried this product, go get it now, I can tell you you will not be disappointed.

MAC Prep + Prime Skin Refined Zone Treatment – If you have an oily T-zone, this product is the best. It’s not a big tube and it’s because you don’t need to use a lot of it. I like it for when I’m not wearing any foundation but I still don’t want to look decent after a few hours if I’m out running around. So yes, it lasts a few hours. Not sure how many to put but if I get ready around 10am then by 6/7pm I have a slight shine, nothing serious or worth wiping.

MAC Eyeshadow in Blackberry – The perfect jewel tone for dark skin. You get that purple shade without it being heavy. Of course you can build it up for more intensity but a little bit is perfect for daily wear. I wore it when I wore a light blue dress one day. My lovely purple abstract scarf from my bestie also helped to bring it out a little more.
